Kenya Nationals: Apply for Training Scholarship in Hydroponics Farming Technology

KCB Foundation in partnership with the MasterCard Foundation’s Young Africa Works project in Kenya and Miramar International College are jointly implementing an innovative 5 Years (2019 – 2024) nationwide project that seeks to create job opportunities. The programme targeting Kenyan youths aged 18 – 35yrs will provide beneficiaries with 3 months training scholarship in hydroponics farming technology. They will also enjoy business development services and access to capital and market linkages.

The programme targeting Kenyan youths within the small and micro enterprises will also give offtake contracts for the beneficiaries produces. In addition, suitable land will be sourced for the construction of the beneficiaries’ greenhouses.

Interested candidates will be expected to come with dully filled form during interview which will be conducted on a rolling basis from Wednesday 29th, January to Wednesday 5th, February between 8.00am to 5.00pm at;

Original copy of National Identity Card

Certificate of their highest academic qualification

Ability to read and write

Commit to attend 3 months training

Be able to register a business that will be owned by two beneficiaries

Be able to demonstrate that you can directly manage the business as owner operators

Beneficiaries will be expected to raise 10% of the project amount towards set-up of their entire business

    I have been following up closely on hydroponics in Kenya.have been trying to come up with my own which I succeeded in a few..growing fodder for my Koiler chickens which really reduced the cost of production. Have been applying for kcb scholarship and referring friends unfortunately have never secured one unlike the people have been referring are now in session. How I which I can secure this scholarship and become a more resourceful being in the society
