Apply for FECA Vocational Training in Crop and Livestock Production

The Federal College of Agriculture (FECA), Ibadan, a leading agricultural education and training institution in Nigeria founded in 1921, has produced and trained thousands of agricultural personnel in Nigeria. In line with the agricultural development vision of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the college is conducting a 5-day vocational training in selected areas of agriculture.

The training is aimed at imparting knowledge of modern techniques, cost effective and quality-based methods of agricultural production on the participants as well as to promote self-employment and wealth creation. The programme will feature lectures, tutorials, discussions/interactive sessions, field practical sessions and counseling in practical application of entrepreneurship skills;

  1. Modern Poultry Farming and Production
  2. Fisheries and Catfish Production
  3. Cassava Processing and Utilization
  4. Use and Maintenance of Agricultural Machineries
  5. Crop Processing and Food Preservation
  6. Cereals and Legumes Production
  7. Modern Bee Keeping and Honey Production

Eligibility and Pre-requisites

Unemployed youths, retirees and other interested persons can apply.

All participants must be able to read and write in English Language.

Date of training: Monday 4th – Friday 8th October, 2021

Venue: Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan, Moor Plantation, Ibadan

Course Fee: Free of charge

Mode of Application

Interested participants can obtain an application form (free of charge) from the Registry unit of the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan. Completed application forms must be submitted before training date. Admission is limited and strictly on First Come, First Served Basis. Those who have attended previous training programmes are not eligible to apply.
